Beneath the Stone 01.jpg

Permanent work at Mjellby konstmuseum, Halmstad

In the work Beneath the Stone, reality is not what it seems at first glance. The mural captures the hidden and forgotten stories beneath the surface, revealing a world where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary. The Halland quarries serve as metaphors for the hidden depths within us and the unexplored truths waiting to be discovered. Lifeless and static stones become vessels of hidden truths, hiding a crowded dream world within. Here, reality intertwines with fiction, blurring the lines between what is seen and what is made up from imagination and dreams in ways that contribute to our understanding of the world around us.
